Bullying – Amanda Todd

My heart broke when I heard the news of a young girl taking her own life last week after being bullied. No one deserves to be treated the way she was treated. And as a young girl she really must have felt that there was no end in sight, no other escape…
I’m sending out this plea, if you are a witness to someone being bullied, step up and say something! Don’t stand by while another human being is made to feel as if they are worthless! Even a kind word or reaching out to the victim so they don’t feel as if they are in this battle alone. You never know how your words or simple acts of kindness can affect a person.
And to all the bullied kids out there, I know it’s hard and you may feel like you are alone but stay strong! Don’t let your self-worth be defined by bullies. Reach out and ask for help. (Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) You may not feel it but there are more people that care about you than you think!
